The short version: Biome Fitness is a wellness tool, not medical advice. Use it to build healthy habits. Be honest with your data. Don't abuse the service. We can suspend accounts that violate these terms.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account and using Biome Fitness ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These terms apply to the web application at app.biome.fitness and the marketing website at biome.fitness.
2. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 16 years old to use Biome Fitness. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Not medical advice
Biome Fitness is a personal wellness and habit-tracking tool. The AI coaching features provide general wellness guidance based on the information you provide.
Nothing in the Service constitutes medical, nutritional, or clinical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet, exercise routine, or health management — especially if you have a medical condition.
Do not use the Service as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
4. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information when setting up your profile — the AI's guidance quality depends on it
- Use the Service for personal, non-commercial wellness purposes only
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service or its AI features
- Not create accounts on behalf of others without their consent
- Not use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws
5. Intellectual property
All content, design, and code of the Service is owned by Biome Fitness. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the Service for personal wellness purposes.
You retain ownership of the personal data and content you input into the Service (your meals, habits, messages, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us permission to process this data solely to provide the features described.
6. Service availability
We aim to provide reliable access to Biome Fitness, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for significant changes where possible.
7. Account suspension and termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Attempt to abuse or overload the AI or API systems
- Are found to belong to users under 16
- Are inactive for an extended period (we will provide notice before deletion)
You can delete your own account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Biome Fitness shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to health outcomes resulting from following AI guidance.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months prior to the claim.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
